Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of Vane ("Vane", "the app"), a personal productivity assistant operated by Ramil Dela Rosa, an individual developer ("the Operator", "we", "us"). By using Vane, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. The service

Vane helps you capture notes, transcribe and summarize voice notes and meetings, organize tasks, and schedule your time using artificial intelligence. Features may change over time.

2. Accounts

You are responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your credentials secure. Provide accurate information when you register. You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your country.

3. Subscriptions & billing

• Vane offers a free plan and a paid subscription, Vane Pro.
• Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play and auto-renew until cancelled.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable; refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies.
• Prices may change; we will give notice as required by the app stores.

4. AI features — important

Vane uses AI to transcribe, summarize, and suggest actions. AI output can be inaccurate or incomplete. Always review important results (such as dates, names, amounts, and meeting details) before relying on them. Vane does not provide legal, financial, medical, or other professional advice.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the service, including: violating any law; infringing others' rights; recording people without any consent required where you are; attempting to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or overload the service; or using it to process unlawful content.

6. Your content

You retain ownership of the content you create in Vane. You grant us the limited rights needed to operate the service (for example, to store, process, and sync your content, and to send it to our AI provider for processing). You are responsible for the content you submit.

7. Intellectual property

Vane, its design, and its software are owned by the Operator and protected by law. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or branding.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

Vane is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI output will be accurate.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost data or profits, arising from your use of Vane. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months before the claim.

10. Termination

You may stop using Vane and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or to protect the service.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use after changes means you accept them.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
